Gauging the impact of Pediatric education on Paramedics’ knowledge

Background: A high level of emergency medical care is now expected from paramedics dealing with the sick and injured, including pediatric patients.1,2 Very little known paramedics’ perception competency prehospital education training, which so critical to improve a knowledge performance important skills.2,3 The purpose this study was determine if training resulted in change among Hamad Medical Corporation Ambulance Service (HMCAS). Methods: mixed-methods research approach adopted explore diverse perspectives. comparison all pre post-test results for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course conducted during period whether gained by paramedics. survey also used conduct retrospective analysis review their perceived competency. Results: CPD (Table 1) 33 times between January November 2019. average score difference indicates gain post-training across participants (n = 51). 33) revealed that there an overall positive impact it had on learning styles. Active strategies hands-on practice were recommended modalities participants. key findings are presented Figure 1. Conclusion: HMCAS provided feedback opportunities.
